We can support young people who are new to group style therapy, along with existing clients hoping to practice skills learnt in individual therapy in a group setting.
No previous horse experience, group or therapy experience is necessary.
Groups are small and carefully matched to create a safe and supportive dynamic with similar ages and needs.
Please note: The sessions involve a lots of hands on time interacting and building relationships with the horses. No riding is involved in any of our programs.
Founded in evidence-based therapeutic practices and delivered by our team of specialist and experienced teachers and mental health practitioners, our Homeschool gProgram groups create a safe space for young people to explore big feelings and develop skills for life.
Participants will learn, develop and practice a range of positive psychology skills and have the opportunity to make new, like-minded friends while spending time in nature with our wonderful herd of horses.
Each week has a different focus with the themes building on the previous session.
Over the course of the term we will develop:
Self-regulation tools, with space to practice and develop a personal toolkit to support healthy emotional regulation.
Emotional awareness, developing language and abilities to talk about big and little feelings.
Self-confidence and self-awareness.
Develop an understanding of healthy boundaries, healthy relationships and social skills.
Understanding self-talk and helpful thinking habits.
Building skills for facing challenges in life.
